Il Dono in denaro in molte Nazioni non viene considerato un reddito da tassare, pertanto non è neanche da inserire sulla propria dichiarazione dei redditi. In Italia, superata una certa somma sui proventi di regali in denaro, si parla di una tassazione dell’8%. In Spagna si parla del 6%, che potrebbe salire al 18% (in base al cumulativo).

In altre Nazioni si passa dal 15 al 28% (sempre in base al cumulativo) e in altre ancora non esiste tassazione sul Dono in denaro (negli Stati in cui lasciano vivere i propri cittadini).
